“Our mission is to bridge the gap between maritime labor and next-generation finance — with secure, compliant, and seamless services”

The Problem
Seafarers Are Financially Underserved
  • Millions of seafarers work under international contracts with limited access to modern banking services;
  • Cross-border salary payments are slow, costly, and non-transparent;
  • Most shipping companies rely on legacy banking, with poor support for crypto and real-time settlements;
  • Demand for hybrid (fiat & crypto) payment infrastructure is growing.

Our Solution

SAFE is building a multi-functional platform enabling:

  • B2B onboarding of shipping companies
  • B2C onboarding of individual seafarers
  • Fiat and crypto payroll accounts for each seafarer
  • Direct payouts to debit cards of any bank worldwide
  • Global cash withdrawal capabilities across multiple jurisdictions
  • Global cross-border settlement infrastructure

A Cost-Effective and Flexible Alternative to Traditional Maritime Payment Providers

SAFE serves as a next-generation alternative to established maritime payroll platforms, offering:

  • Lower transaction fees
  • Faster settlement and fund availability
  • Operational flexibility in complex and complicated jurisdictions
  • Reliable global payout coverage without typical cross-border limitations

S.A.F.E.’s business model

Our process is designed for operational simplicity on the client side, with SAFE managing all complexity related to distribution, compliance, and reporting.

Step 1 — Service Agreement
A formal service agreement is signed between SAFE and the shipping company or crewing agency, defining expected volumes, currencies, reporting format, service fees, and SLA parameters.
Step 2 — Transfer of Funds
The client transfers an aggregated payroll amount to SAFE, accompanied by payment instructions: seafarer list, individual amounts, preferred payout format, and tax status where applicable.
Step 3 — Distribution & Payouts
SAFE calculates and allocates funds, prepares payment registers, and executes payouts to each seafarer. Full transparent reporting is provided to the client upon completion.
